Trumbull Farms is a family owned and run lavender farm located in Claverack, New York, ten minutes from downtown Hudson.
We grow lavender in a field tended by the family. The sloping, eastward facing hill is a beautiful setting for cultivating several species of organically grown lavender.
English Folgate's delicate flowers have a subtle taste that makes this variety the finest culinary lavender, in our opinion. We offer it in small jars as well as 6" wreaths that can be conveniently hung in the kitchen.
English Royal Velvet's bright, almost blue buds make this species a natural for our dried wreaths that we assemble by hand in several sizes. We also bundle Royal Velvet with grosgrain ribbons in subtle colors. These lend a delightful scent to rooms and closets.
American lavender genera, specially selected for their fragrance, fill our small and large sachets. We painstakingly cull the flowers and use only buds in our sachets.
These hand-assembled wreaths, lavender bundles and sachets, along with seasonal holiday ornaments and gift boxes are popular purchases at the Winter Market hosted every December at Churchtown Dairy (around the corner from our farm.) This year we will be at Basilica's Farm and Flea over Thanksgiving weekend.
